the rest of dark revenge

KYLIE: The movies had finished. We were going to kill Kasey. Alexis and I slipped out of the house, creeping silently through the darkened streets. The air was cold, and a light mist hung in the air, making everything feel eerie and surreal. We both shivered, but not from the cold. We were shaking with anticipation and fear. When we reached the big house on the hill, we circled around to the back, avoiding the glow of the security lights. Alexis had a set of lockpicks she'd stolen from her father's toolbox, and in no time at all, we were inside. The house was empty, as we'd expected. We crept through the darkness, our hearts pounding in our chests. Alexis led the way, her fingers finding their way along the wall, guiding us deeper into the house. We found Kasey's room easily enough, the door left ajar by her absent-minded parents. I could hear her breathing softly, a low rhythmic sound. Alexis paused for a moment, her hand trembling on the door handle. "Are you sur...

dark revenge chapter 8

DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME OR AT ANY TIME.  ALEXIS: When I joined the school I met the popular clique. Seven little bitches. They had to go. And I met Kylie. I pretended to love her, it was easy. She had been hurt by them. She would be perfect and if anyone found out, I would blame her. It was perfect.  So I asked out Kylie and she said yes. She told me about the torture and hell those girls put her through. I almost felt bad for using her. Emphasis on the almost. So I told her my plan. We would kill those girls one by one. Just like Emmeline. We would make it as brutal as possible to bring them pain.  Look, I know it sounds sick and twisted. But we need to do this. What the did to Kylie sounds... awful. So I organised a horror movie fest sleepover to talk about it all with just me and Kylie. She told me what she was about to do and it was awful. "Alexis," Kylie said, "I have something to say." Her voice was shaky, barely audible. I reached over and took her hand, squ...

dark revenge chapter 7

KYLIE: I am okay. It's been a week. I don't wear clothing that showcases my scars and injuries. I've been avoiding mirrors as well. I am still going through the motions at school. I can't avoid them forever. I am still hurt and I am angry. I am just trying to survive. My mom noticed that I've been acting different and she asked me what's wrong. I lied and told her that I'm fine. I can't tell her the truth. She would be devastated. I see them. The ones who did this to me. They walk around like they're better than everyone. They don't even try to hide the smug looks on their faces. I want to confront them. I want to make them pay. But I can't. Not yet. I need to be strong. I need to find a way to make them regret what they've done. Cali has been texting me, trying to apologize. I know she feels guilty, but I can't forgive her. Not yet. She was the one who came up with the idea in the first place. She's just as much to blame as the r...

dark revenge chapter 6

MACKENZIE: After all that we had a sleepover at my house. I am the school's queen bee so I have the biggest house obviously. I invited Natasha, CeCe, Cali, Kasey, Keira and Daphne. Cali seemed a bit weird. We got our own back. Kylie hurt Cali, Daphne and Keira. She had to pay. We were all sitting in a circle in my room, our faces lit up by the soft glow of the lava lamp on my nightstand. I could feel the anticipation building in the air, the excitement of being together, of having something to do that would make us feel better, if only for a little while. "Okay, so here's how we're going to play," I explained, my voice barely above a whisper. "I'll show you a photo of someone, and you have to decide if you'd smash them or pass on them." I reached into my top drawer and pulled out a stack of old magazines, flipping through them until I found the right photo. "First up is..." I hesitated for dramatic effect, "...Liam Payne." The...

dark revenge chapter 5

CALI: Something bad happened. And I was a part of it. They talked me into it. The whole clique. MacKenzie, Natasha, CeCe, Kasey and even Daphne and Keira. They told me Kylie deserved it. They told me it would be fun. They promised it would be a harmless prank. But it wasn't. Not even close. And I still played a part. I did the worst bit.  It all started when we found that old warehouse. It was perfect for our little "game." We brought Kylie there, blindfolded and tied up. We told her it was just another stupid prank, nothing serious. But it was serious. We all knew it. We all knew what we were about to do to her. We stripped her naked, bound her to a chair. Then we took turns, each of us doing our worst. Daphne was first. She stood over Kylie, her face twisted into a mask of hate. She smeared chocolate sauce across Kylie's body, rubbing it into her skin until she was covered in a thick layer of it. Then she used a feather duster to draw lines and circles on her chest,...

dark revenge chapter 4

KYLIE: Things got a lot worse. I was invited to Cali's yacht party and it seemed fun until they all left me out. Then someone attacked me, they were slamming my head off something, then I must've been knocked out because I woke up in a hospital. But I still didn't dare get back at anyone. I was shy. And I just let everything happen. Then I went back to school, with stitches and bandages, and 2 of my old best friends teamed up to hurt me. They told me they wanted to be mates with me again and took me to that creepy abandoned school bus. They told me we would look for ghosts like the old times and they made me wear a blindfold and not to move because it would help me sense the ghosts better. But then they slowly started to undress me. They unbuttoned my shirt. I felt their cold hands touching my skin, kissing and licking me in places they shouldn't. I tried to fight them off, but I couldn't move with the blindfold on. They were laughing, telling me how pathetic I was,...

dark revenge chapter 3

ALEXIS: I had been kicked out of many schools. And my rich ASF parents moved house again to make me go to another school (living hell).  This one time I was bullied by this girl called Emmeline. She was the most popular girl in school. Everyone wanted to be her friend. But not me. I hated her guts. She made my life hell. She'd spread rumors about me, make fun of me, steal my stuff. She was just the worst. So one day, I had enough. I snuck into the chemistry lab after hours. I had brought a can of gasoline with me, just in case. I was going to burn the place down. But not before I made sure Emmeline was inside. I wanted her to feel the same way I felt, you know? Like I wanted her to die. I waited for her outside the lab, hiding in the shadows. When she finally arrived, I could see the smirk on her face. She thought she was so clever, sneaking out at night to skip bedtime. Little did she know what I had planned. I watched as she walked into the lab, not suspecting a thing. I took a d...

Dark Revenge chapter 2

CALI: I remember when Kylie first moved to our town. She was so different from everyone else. She was quiet and shy, always keeping to herself. But somehow, she and I clicked instantly. We had so much in common. We laughed about the same things, liked the same music, and even finished each other's sentences. Then we met Daphne and Keira, who also didn't have a clique and they joined our gang and we became a tight foursome. We spent every waking moment together, exploring the town, having adventures, and creating our own little world. We were inseparable. Even when we started high school, we stuck together. We didn't care what anyone else thought of us. We were content with our own little friendship. But then Kylie started to change. She became distant and secretive. She would disappear for hours at a time, only to return with wild stories of things she'd seen and done. We didn't understand it. One minute she was our best friend, and the next she was this completely ...

Dark Revenge: chapter 1

KYLIE: I remember when we were all so close, Cali, Daphne, Keira, and me. We would spend every single day after school at each other's houses, giggling about boys, shopping, and planning our futures. It seemed like nothing could ever tear us apart. We had known each other FOREVER and we didn't plan on getting split apart but I guess all things are too good to be true. Cali was my best friend. She always got all the attention while I faded into the background. She was a stunner while I was average looking, if not ugly. But it didn't matter. We were inseparable. One day, as we were walking home from school, we ran into Daphne and Keira. They were the only other people in our class who didn't have a clique. We invited them to hang out with us and they immediately said yes. It turned out that we had so much in common. We laughed about the same things, liked the same music, and even finished each other's sentences. It was like we were meant to be friends. The four o...

Staying Safe Online: Awareness

I was never one to shy away from a good time, and tonight was no exception. I'd been itching to try out this new app called Kik Messenger with my best friends Lisi and Brea. We'd heard about it at school, how it was supposedly the new, cool way to chat and share stuff. The fact that it didn't have any age verification made it all the more enticing to us. After all, we were only sixteen; what could possibly go wrong? So there we were, in my room, our phones linked up and our fingers flying across the screens as we sent each other goofy pictures and memes. It felt like a secret little clubhouse, just for us. We'd even stumbled upon a group chat with some older boys from our school, and they were just as wild and crazy as we were. They were constantly sending nudes and talking about all sorts of inappropriate things, but it only made the whole thing more thrilling for us. As the night wore on, I started to feel a little strange. One of the boys in the group, who'd been...

Safer Internet Day: Omegle

The world was a scary place, and I know that better than anyone. I was only fifteen, but I felt like I'd already seen it all. There was violence on the news, heartbreak in movies, and betrayal in books. But I had never been more frightened than when she stumbled upon the video chat site called Omegle. It was supposed to be a fun way to meet new people, but instead, it felt like a trap. i should have known better. My friends Darling, Kenzey, and Lacey had been using it for months, and they swore by it. They said it was harmless, just another way to chat with strangers and make new friends. And I believed them. Until I met him. Drew Kensington. Drew was different. He was older, maybe even in college. He was charming and attentive, always asking me about my day and telling me how beautiful I was. He made me feel special, like I was the only person in the world who mattered. But I couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right. One day, when we were video chatting, Drew...
